It’s a question that’s been pondered by scientists and regular folks around the world for years and years…what would actually happen if the moon crashed into Earth.
According to a video made by Kurzgesagt, there would not be an immediate impact but instead a series of disastrous events that would unfold over a period of time.
For this to happen, the moon’s speed would have to change which would throw off its orbit. It would then take about a year for the series of catastrophic events (including volcanoes and earthquakes) to take place…and the end wouldn’t be pretty, as you can probably imagine.
