Baboons always have a secret supply of water but getting them to reveal the location is another story. When the Machalahari people go hunting, water is scarce and knowing where a fresh supply is located is invaluable.
This is a clip from the 1974 nature documentary Animals are Beautiful People. The film is about wildlife in Southern Africa and was filmed in the Namib Desert, the Kalahari Desert and the Okavango River and Okavango Delta. It was directed and written by Jamie Uys, who is most famous for his later film The Gods Must Be Crazy.
