While filming in Tonga, photographer Beau Pilgrim was snorkelling when a 40-tonne humpback whale breached mere meters in front of him.
Pilgrim not only caught the incredible breach above water on film, but also got underwater footage that shows the power and velocity of the humpback just prior to launching itself out of the ocean. Absolutely incredible.
