Massive Avalanche Near Everest Caught on Film, Creates Huge Air Blast at Bottom

A massive avalanche on Annapurna earlier this month was caught on film by climbers at Kapuche Lake, in Nepal. It’s the lowest altitude glacier lake in the world at 2,546 meters above sea level.

After witnessing the incredible avalanche, the climbers were caught off guard when an air blast from the avalanche roared past them—an intense wind driven by the mass that had just descended the peak.

The video is astonishing to see, and sometimes you can only watch in awe at the sheer power and majesty of nature.
