Meet Jonathan Trappe. He attaches helium balloons to office chairs, gondolas, boats, even little houses. Trappe can be called a real-life Carl Fredricksen from the Pixar movie “Up.” Instead of fleeing the retirement home, Jonathan flies hundreds of miles using helium balloons for the fun of it!
Trappe certainly is an adventurer extraordinaire, and he has taken trips that have crossed the English Channel, flown over the Swiss Alps, witnessed spectacular views, and created priceless memories. Who says an IT consultant can’t make his wildest childhood dreams a reality?
The practice is called cluster ballooning and it actually was invented by Auguste Piccard in 1937.
