Professional skydiver Luke Aikins became the first person to ever jump out of a plane and successfully land on Earth, as he fell back-first into a 30 x 30 meter net set up at the Big Sky movie ranch in Simi Valley, California.
The 42-year-old has done over 18,000 jumps in his career but none as spectacular as this. The stunt was broadcast live on the Fox network for the TV special Stride Gum Presents Heaven Sent, this past weekend. Aikins jumped from an altitude of 25,000 feet.
