Ants Use Their Largest Sisters to Act as Storage Tanks for When Food Is Hard to Come By

Honeypot ants deliver nectar and other kinds of liquid food to the biggest sisters into their largest sisters’ mouths in order to live off of these repletes when food is hard to come by in the desert.

The ants that were fattened up will regurgitate nectar and feed it to the hungry worker ants when they need it.
