During a patrol search against illegal fishing of tooth-fish poachers this royal navy warship got smashed frontally by a huge monster wave. The incident happened near Antarctica.
With a maximum depth of about 7,434 meters (24,390 ft) and temperatures between -2-10 °C (25-50 °F), the Southern Ocean is known for its tough weather conditions – it is the coldest and windiest ocean on Earth.
