If you’ve ever felt like you wanted to escape all of your problems and live on the most remote island in the world, you’re about to find out what that would really be like.
Joseph Posenti narrates this video about what it would be like to be stranded on Norway’s Bouvet Island in the South Atlantic Ocean.
The temperature on Bouvet Island is below freezing for most of the year and is covered in ice. Bouvet is so isolated that it’s estimated that only 100 people have ever set foot on the island. Posenti says, “To put that in perspective, there are more than five times as many humans who have been to space than have been to Bouvet Island.” He also tells viewers that the island is “probably the singular most difficult location on the Earth to visit.”
