Worms Composting Leaves, Cardboard, and Paper in Fascinating 100 Day Time-Lapse

YouTube video player

Check out this amazing 100 day time-lapse that captures the incredible composting ability of worms. In the YouTube description, A V adds:

Each chamber was filled with a different type of bedding material: Chamber #1 had leaves, #2 had cardboard, and #3 had paper. Then in went the red wiggler composting worms. Periodically water and grit (pulverized eggshell) were added. Also, as needed, additional material was loaded in when the levels dropped low.

For those curious about the ice, it was used to help regulate the temperature. When it gets too low the worms slow down (and could die), and if it gets too hot, they could also die.
