The storyline dominating the 2010 World Cup has not been the play on field, but the incessant drone of the traditional South African horn, the Vuvuzela. Close your eyes and you might mistake the deafening sound for a swarm of bees. Drowning out newscasts, cheers and all other chants and songs typically associated with the beautiful game, the Vuvuzela has been vilified by the international press and fans alike.

Bans have been proposed, gag sites have been created and DIY hacks have already been deployed. And of course the Internets has responded with it’s own brand of limitless humour.
