What I Be is a project about honesty and empowerment. In the ongoing 1000+ photo series, people are asked to complete the following statement:
“I am not my ____ “
Their response is then manifested as a phrase or ‘label’ and written somewhere on their face or body with a marker. Then a close-up portrait is taken and shared with others. The goal is to spread awareness and generate understanding for what our fellow citizens may be battling with, internally or externally.
