This Painter Uses Old Turkey Feathers as Her Canvas

 

Brenda Lyons is an artist, illustrator and jewellery maker currently based out of Connecticut, USA. She got her BA in Studio Art at Rocky Mountain College and received her MFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

In an ongoing series entitled Painted Feathers, Lyons uses moulted turkey feathers as her canvas, applying acrylic paints directly onto the feathers to create incredible animal portraits.

The multi-talented artist also makes beautiful jewellery and leather goods which you can purchase direct from her Etsy store where prints of her artworks are also available.
