When people say, “we’ll fix it in post”, they’re referring to visual effects. While many people may use special effects (SFX) and visual effects (VFX) interchangeably, there is a difference. Below you will find 40 fantastic examples of visual effects from some of the most popular films in recent time. From ‘green screens’ to CGI, the people who work in the visual effects industry are responsible for bringing many of your favourite films to life.
Like other industries, VFX artists face their own set of challenges. If you’d like to learn more, there’s an interesting 30 minute documentary on YouTube called, Life After Pi, that explores the rapidly changing forces impacting the global VFX community.
