These Guys Built a Portable Hot Tub You Can Take on Your Next Adventure

Portland-based company The Original Nomad, has designed a fully collapsible hot tub that you can take with you on your next outdoor adventure. Made from durable 18 oz. vinyl walls and 24 oz. vinyl floor, the tub has a 60″ diameter (1.52 m), a height of 56″ (1.42 m) and a weight of 20 pounds (9 kg).

To heat the water, Nomad built a water heater coil which can be heated with propane or firewood. It’s constructed from 1.25″ stainless steel and uses thermosyphoning to circulate the water, so no water pump is needed. To achieve a water temperature of 105+ degrees F (40.5 C), it will take 2-2.5 hours in air temperature of 60-70 degrees F (15.5-21 C).
