When Lukas Yla, 25, moved from Vilnius, Lithuania to San Francisco he knew the job market would be competitive. Sure he had 5 years of experience as a marketing specialist back home, but he knew to have a chance in San Fran, he would have to do something to stand out from the crowd.
One of the biggest challenges for any job seeker is getting your resume in front of the person in charge of hiring. Lukas saw an opportunity to not only get his resume in front of the right person, but demonstrate his creativity and willingness to execute on his idea in the process.
So Lukas dressed up as a food courier and hand delivered boxes of donuts with his resume affixed to all of the companies he wanted to work for. So far, the out-of-the-box approach has yielded 10 interviews. Good luck and keep hustling Lukas!
