Could it be true…?
The chef you’re about to hear from in a viral video said that fine dining is nothing but a big SCAM.
He told viewers that he comes from a family of cooks and, while he doesn’t go out to eat very often, he’s hypercritical of the experience when he decides to eat at a restaurant.
The man told viewers he was in Miami for his cousin’s birthday and he and his group went to a “renowned restaurant” and the bill came out to more than $10,000.
Yes, you read that correctly…
He said, “The food did not match what we were paying for” and complained about the size and price of some of the items on the menu.
The TikTokker said, “What are we paying for? I believe it’s a social experiment for people who want to be perceived as wealthy to feel better about themselves. It’s like paying for designer, but you don’t need to pay for designer. It’s a scam!”
He told viewers that he and his group were hungry only two hours after they ate and that they decided to get pizza. He said the pizza was better than the expensive meal they had earlier in the night.
The man added that New York is full of “scam” restaurants and he called out one spot by name that he went to and said that he vowed never to go to a Michelin-star restaurant ever again.
Here’s the video.
