When you work at a pizza place, you will often get orders from customers who are on the edge of your delivery zone, which can be frustrating.

What would you do if a customer made an order, but then you realized you didn’t have what they needed in stock, but they wouldn’t answer their phone to cancel or change the order?

That is what happened to the worker in this story, but his manager was freaking out and yelling about it, making a huge scene in front of everyone.

My absolute lunatic of a manager

Texts to my gf, who used to work here:

[manager’s name redacted]

What could be going on?

Jesus Christ, dude. Every stinking day

Cash order, deep [faraway neighborhood], they ordered wings. She comes out of the walk-in like “JIIIMMM!” because we’re out of wings and she told him to take them off the online ordering system

They can’t fix the order if the customer won’t pick up.

So she’s repeating that over and over, and THEN the customer doesn’t answer the phone, and their voicemail isn’t set up

She calls like ten times

You can’t just not do an order.

She’s sitting there like “what should I do??” and I TELL her – I’m not even gonna bother taking that even if we HAD wings

Lol now they’re calling back

What? Why?

But she should have cancelled that thing after like three seconds. Jesus Christ.

Lol her neurotic self made his impatient customer hang up on her this is incredible.

Honestly, I don’t know what is going on here, but it definitely seems like a crazy place to work with an unhinged manager.

Let’s see what the people in the comments have to say about it.

Some managers are known for being bad.

Yeah, the person telling the story is a little off.

I think this is about right.

LOL. I am with this commenter.

What is even going on here?
