Imagine giving clear instructions and people still don’t understand!
This guy shares how his store signs were almost ignored every time!
Check out the full story.
Customers will not read, even with a five foot sign with 6 inch words on it
We have no less than 3 signs….on the door, on both windows on the sides of the door…and the kicker, a poster board sign that is almost five feet tall, with the pertinent info in 6 inch words.
Things were crystal clear!
HOURS:
MONDAY – FRIDAY 10 AM – 6PM
SATURDAYS – 10 AM TO 2 PM
SUNDAYS: CLOSED
Here I am getting the store ready at 9 am, have to be on a phone meeting at 9:15 (yay, Saturday manager calls!) and I have no less than 3 people already shaking violently on my door, rattling all of the glass windows.
This is where it gets bad…
We purposely made larger signs because our door has already broken ONCE by someone trying to desperately get into our store before we open.
There is NOTHING in my store you NEED IMMEDIATELY.
If you do, there is a drug store that opens at 7, a Grocery store that opens at 5 and a Target that opens at 8 that you can go to in the same plaza.
They still ignore them.
I’ve stood in front of the door while they peer in and dutifully POINT at the large 5 foot sign that shows the hours.
UH OH…
There is a DIGITAL clock with the current time right next to me that you can easily see from any of the windows at the front.
No excuse for not knowing how to read an analog clock like the Zoomers, its DIGITAL with numbers that give you the exact time.
That’s INSANE!
Don’t give me “but Google said you were open”…NO IT DOESN’T, we’ve made sure many times that it has our current hours that have been in place since the pandemic (and many lockdowns) started.
Anywhere that lists our hours was updated ages ago. We don’t want a line of mad customers outside our door when we open because “google said…”
YIKES! That sounds like a tricky situation.
Why would customers not respect simple rules?
