There are bad neighbors…

And then there are neighbors like this lady.

And if you’ve ever had to deal with someone like this before, you know that you’re looking both ways before you decide to walk out your door because the thought of interacting with them makes your skin crawl.

Take a look at what this woman had to say about an unhinged neighbor who seriously sounds like she needs some professional help.

Neighbor keeps leaving snake poison out.

“I needed to rant because I am absolutely dumbfounded.

I moved into my boyfriend’s apartment five months ago. He had already been living here for a year before I moved in, so he’s familiar with the surrounding neighbors and has built friendships with some of them.

Downstairs, there’s an older woman and her husband who have lived in the same apartment for 10 years.

At first, I thought they were just the kind of people who looked out for those around them. My boyfriend always spoke highly of them and would often stop to talk if they were outside. I also started to get to know them because I began seeing them frequently after I got my puppy two months ago.

They’re almost always sitting on the steps outside smoking, which I have to use every time I take my dog for a walk, so it’s hard to avoid them.

Okay…

It started with polite conversations, but it quickly escalated into the older woman telling me she owns a gun and that I don’t need to feel unsafe. Now, you may be thinking this was just a kind gesture from another woman, but we were literally talking about colleges when she brought it up.

On top of that, she followed it by saying, “If the cops ever come by, just let me know and I’ll be there with protection.”

I just told her, “That’s good,” and went on my way.

Not long after, I was coming back to my apartment when she stopped me on the stairs to ask how I was doing. She quickly said she wanted to show me something. Thinking she meant inside her apartment, I told her I needed to get back upstairs with my dog.

Come on, lady…

She ignored me and said she doesn’t show anybody this before pulling up her shirt and lowering her sweatpants. She exposed her hip, showing me not only her hip replacement scar but also part of her butt and her entire stomach.

I had no idea how to respond, but I felt awkwardly obligated to stay while she told me about the book she’s writing about her life, the passing of her son, her overdose, and how she’s certain she’s going to be on The Steve Harvey Show because of how successful the book will be.

Great. I can’t wait to watch her on TV.

But it doesn’t end there.

This woman sounds a bit unhinged…

About a month ago, she started telling me about the snakes around our area and how much she can’t stand them. She said she wants to kill every single one. I live in a state that’s well known for having snakes, and for the most part, people leave them alone, and the snakes leave people alone.

She then told me she’d started leaving snake poison out around the property. Keep in mind, we live in an apartment complex where almost everyone has dogs, and people often let them run around the large grassy area next to the buildings, sometimes even off leash.

My puppy is always leashed, but like most puppies, she tries to eat anything she finds.

This is not cool!

Now I constantly have to watch her in case she grabs one of these bite-sized poison pellets.
I didn’t say anything because I’m not a confrontational person, but I see these pellets everywhere we walk, and I know they’re a hazard.

Fast forward to today. I went outside and found powdered snake poison sprinkled all over the grass and along the areas where everyone walks their dogs. I’m sure it’s only dangerous if it’s ingested, but it’s still wild to me.

She had previously warned me to be careful because the landscapers spray something for ticks, yet she has no problem spreading snake poison all over the same areas.

This is honestly only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the questionable interactions I’ve had with her. Maybe I’m overreacting, or maybe I need to look inward, which is why I wanted to rant about it here.

We’re hopefully only going to be here for another year, but I’m sure this won’t be the last strange situation I have with her.

Am I looking at this all wrong?”

Yeah, this lady needs some help.

I don’t think there’s any doubt about that!

But it doesn’t sound like she can help her out…

This woman’s neighbor sounds creepy…and dangerous.
