Apartment residents should be able to feel safe where they live.

The following story is about a woman who watched her neighbor start a fire in the parking lot on a windy evening.

She had no idea what they were burning.

And the neighbor eventually left the smoking remains outside before returning to the apartment.

This strange situation only added to her growing frustration with life in the apartment building.

My neighbor took a type of bucket thing out, a brick from outside, and some other rock-like stuff.

And he et a fire in the parking lot.

To make matters worse, it was a windy evening and about to rain.

He just stood there and watched the flames go. I don’t even know what they were burning.

This woman saw her neighbor go back inside after setting a fire.

When the fire went out and there was smoke, the person left it sitting there.

Then, he went back into the apartment.

A few minutes later, the same neighbor came out and brought the thing back in, leaving the brick outside.

I already reported it to the proper authorities.

She felt frustrated and trapped in a bad living situation.

I’m just angry right now.

I’m low income with two jobs and struggle to earn enough to move.

I feel trapped in an apartment with people like this.

As well as a landlord and assistant who have consistently shown they don’t care about what happens here.

Honestly, that is a pretty alarming thing to witness, especially with strong winds and rain approaching.

I feel bad for OP that she couldn’t improve her living situation no matter how much she wanted to.

Feeling stuck somewhere with a landlord that doesn’t seem to take residents’ concerns seriously can be a real challenge.
