Anytime someone shoots off some fireworks, there is a chance that things won’t go as planned and something bad could happen.

What would you do if your neighbor set off some illegal fireworks, and they managed to find their way all the way to your home, where they damaged some siding and broke a window?

That is what happened to the guy in this story, so he had to call the police to report it because they already had a bad relationship with the neighbor who set it off.

This might have been a one-in-a-million firework, but it really doesn’t matter since the neighbor should have been more responsible. Read through the full story below and see what you think about it.

Fireworks- 1% chance

A neighbor three houses over and BEHIND my house was shooting off illegal fireworks, which resulted in a hole in my siding and a smashed window in FRONT of my house.

Wow, this is just terrible luck.

The only logical explanation I can come up with is that it hit this telephone pole, changed trajectory landed where my front porch roof & siding meet, putting a hole in the siding and scorch marks around it, then shot up from there and smashed the hole in my window.

I’m positive that it was the firework that did the damage. I had just gone to bed and heard the firework explode and maybe 2 seconds later heard the thud of it connecting with my house.

It had to be the neighbors they already had conflict with.

To make it even better, a couple months ago the person who did this was very vulgar and harassing and threatening to my husband and I.

So, I couldn’t even talk to them about it and offer them the opportunity to fix it.

They brought this on themselves.

So, the consequences for being nasty to your neighbors are getting arrested and having to pay restitution AND a fine.

Surprisingly, they could prove it was the neighbors, though. Glad to see that things worked out.

Saving every bit of evidence is a good idea.

He needs to file a police report and call his insurance company right away. His theory won’t be easy to prove, but the neighbor should be responsible for paying for any damages at a minimum.
