Living near college students can be tough when their idea of fun starts cutting into everyone else’s sleep.

Today’s story is about a resident who is dealing with this very thing after a new group moved into a house a few doors down.

For the second night in a row, they woke him up around midnight while playing spikeball in the middle of the street.

After years of dealing with noise in the neighborhood, this feels like one more thing he has to endure.

Luckily, his lease ends in March 2027, and he’s already counting down the time.

Keep reading to see how he feels about the whole thing.

New student neighbors playing spikeball at 12am

This is the second night I’ve been woken up by these new college students who moved in a couple of houses down.

In what world is it a good idea to play spikeball in the middle of the street in a residential neighborhood?

My nightmare doesn’t end in this neighborhood.

He just feels defeated.

I feel cursed. Five years of no real peace at night while living in this place. My lease is up in March 2027, so that’ll be the end (I hope).

I just needed somewhere to vent. I’m sure there will be some of you who understand what it’s like to deal with these types of neighbors and others who will just try to troll. Do what you gotta do.

I’m just feeling defeated right now.

Oh no! It sounds like he’s ready for a change in life.

Let’s take a look at what Reddit readers had to tell him.

It does seem like this.

According to this comment, he could try talking to them calmly.

Here’s someone who suggests he report them.

This reader thinks the neighbors are way too loud.

No wonder he’s over it.

Getting woken up once is annoying, but dealing with that kind of noise over and over would wear anyone down.

Still, though, the good news is that he already knows there’s an end date.

But the bad news is that it’s still months away. So, he’s going to have to report them or find a way to deal with it.
