Hip, hip, hooray!

The older you get, the more you realize that happiness is about small victories.

A nice vacation. A great meal. Your favorite team winning it all.

And then there’s something like this…

A terrible neighbor moving away!

Now, that is pure ecstasy!

Check out what this person had to say about how happy they are now that some folks have vacated the premises.

Get started now!

Finally! Neighbors from Hell have moved!

“After two years of misery from the family living in the apartment unit adjacent to mine, they moved away this Sunday!

Amen!

I can now breathe again. I can now actually relax.

When I moved into this complex two years ago, I had no idea the tenants next door to me were the family from Hell.

Three months after I moved in, the chaos burst wide open: three screaming little kids who were out of control. All day. Every day. No parental supervision. Ever.

Good grief…

The shrill, high-pitched screaming would begin around 6:45 a.m. and would last until around 10:30 p.m., accompanied by constant running and jumping, pushing chairs across the hardwood floor, and kicking the walls.

Oh, and let’s not forget the continuous kicking and pounding of the inside of their screen door.

Where were mom and dad during all of this?

They were there, but ignored it all. They never made any attempt to teach their kids good manners and self-control. I spoke with the building manager several times.

Management would tell these jerk parents to quiet down their kids; mom and dad would make half-hearted attempts, which never lasted long.

Classy folks!

The last time the manager spoke to them, the dad became belligerent, yelling, “Get out of here!”

Also, these people had a large, very aggressive male dog, always growling and baring its teeth. This was the first time I’d ever felt intimidated by a dog.

For the past two years, I’ve been a nervous wreck with stress-induced heartburn. Other neighbors in the complex have complained about this family; the woman immediately downstairs from them said the situation was intolerable.

Good riddance!

I have no idea what precipitated The Jerk Family’s move, and I don’t care.

I’m relieved I no longer have to cope with them. I do hope the new tenants are considerate; time will tell, I suppose.

But at least for now, I can relax.”

Ahhhh, that was so satisfying!

And all you can really say is…

What a feeling! Congrats to them!

Good riddance to bad rubbish!
