Sometimes, one rude comment is all it takes to push someone over the edge.

In today’s story, we’ll meet a man who stopped at the grocery store after another stressful visit with his daughter.

He picked up some wine and flowers before heading home, hoping to help everyone relax a little.

But when he reached the register, the cashier suddenly started criticizing what he was buying by calling it cheap.

Already worn down from the day, he snapped and insulted her.

I went to the grocery store after visiting my infant daughter in the hospital and being told yet again that her tests have been pushed back a couple of days.

I chose to buy myself some wine and flowers for my fiance to help everyone calm down when I got home.

I walked up to the register and put my stuff down, and looked around while I waited to check out. I looked the cashier in the eyes for just a second and kept looking at random stuff.

When it was his turn, the cashier greeted him with a rude comment.

When the lady in front of me paid and left, I walked up to the card reader, and the cashier, out of nowhere, said, “You ain’t impressin’ me.”

I looked at her, confused, and asked, “What?”

Her response was, “This stuff cheap.”

I asked her why that mattered to her, and she just said, “Stuff like this ain’t impressin’ no one.”

Angry, he told her just what he thought.

I just slammed my hands down on the conveyor and said, “Well, this isn’t for you, you ******* *****.”

She walked away, and I was asked to leave, and I just walked out and told the person walking me out, “You should teach her to mind her business and watch her manners.”

The guy said nothing, just made sure I left peacefully.

AITA?

Yikes! It’s easy to see both sides of this, but the cashier should really watch what she says to people.

Next time, he should just ask for the manager and let that person deal with it. Then, at least he would’ve had the flowers and wine.
