Ahhhh, the iconic college spring break trip.

A lot of people will probably have fond memories of yesteryear when reading this story.

Hanging out with friends, having drinks, being young and carefree…

All the good stuff!

But there are definitely some people who will recall the AWFUL spring break trips they took.

Fighting with friends, fighting with strangers, puking in trash cans…

All the bad stuff!

The college student who wrote this story decided to bail on her spring break trip with her friends because the planning went all haywire, and she doesn’t even want to deal with it anymore.

Take a look, and see what you think.

AITA for not going on my senior year spring break trip?

“This senior year, me 21 (F) and my friends Sam, Amanda, Julia, and Emily wanted to plan a trip together for our last spring break.

We started planning last year in order for all of us to save up money towards a trip outside of our last spring break trips to the Dominican Republic and Mexico.

We originally planned on St. Lucia which would cost around 2k for 6 nights all inclusive and in a safe area.

Who cares what this guy thinks…?

But now Amanda’s boyfriend has now decided that the trip was too expensive and because he is unwilling to share a room with the girls.

I voiced my frustration because we had already planned this a year ago and it kinda messed up the plan. (This concern was only brought up after I had research on our trip).

But I got no response until a few days later with an alternate resort which is cheaper and works with everyone’s budget and preference.

What’s she supposed to do now?

But now this specific resort has a rule with only a maximum of 3 adults in one room which I was unaware of because I wasn’t involved in picking this new resort or location but yesterday I had received a text showing Amanda and her boyfriend booked their room.

I asked what is the plan for the rest of us to do.

Sam replied her, Julia and Emily were going to room together.

I said I was concerned that I didn’t have anyone else to book with me but her response was “we told you since the spring that Julia, Emily and I would room together.”

She may not even go on the trip anymore.

Which now leaves me in a very difficult situation where I don’t want to go on their spring break trip anymore because I don’t have anyone else to book with.

I kinda felt like they left me out of the loop of the second booking after we had already planned the first trip together.

AITA for not going in this Spring Break trips with my friends?”

I would’ve bailed if I were her, too!

She should make alternate plans and go enjoy herself.

You’re only young once, ya know…

She needs to ditch these folks and find some new friends!
