If a spouse has an affair, who should the other spouse be mad at, the person they were married to or the affair partner?
In this story, one woman is in therapy after her divorce to try to move on after her husband had an affair. She’s close to forgiving her ex-husband, but she’s still quite bitter at the affair partner.
She knows this is somewhat unreasonable, but she still feels bitter. What made her feel a little bit better was getting revenge on the other woman when she was on vacation.

Bad idea to break up my marriage then park your car where I can get to it
A little while ago, I caught my husband having an affair.
There were several terrible months of emotional conflict that ended in our divorce.
I’m seeing a therapist and trying to be well adjusted, to get over as much of the bitterness as I can so that I can just move on.
I’m very near to completely forgiving my ex-husband. It helps that he expresses a lot of remorse over everything.
But she’s still struggling with forgiving the other woman.
However, I am still struggling with letting go of my bitterness towards the other woman — the crazy witch that precipitated the end of my marriage.
I realize that some of that bitterness is unreasonable, since she is not the one who broke promises to me, and in the grand scheme of things she doesn’t owe me anything….
But I’m not above giving her a hard time.
Here’s what she did…
When they left on a trip together and she left her car at his office for the duration, I could have slashed her tires or smashed in her windshield.
Instead, I scooped my cat’s litterbox leavings into a baggie and transferred several logs of cat waste into her muffler. Also I crumbled a clump of used cat litter into her AC vents. Then I wiped the gloved hands I used to touch the cat waste all over her driver door handle.
Enjoy your car’s new fragrance! I hope you touched your face at some point after you got in.
I wonder how long it will take the other woman to figure out what exactly OP did and to get rid of the smell. That’s some stinky revenge!
Let’s see how Reddit responded.
This person thinks she’s picking on the wrong person.

Nobody thinks her revenge was a good idea.
That comments section certainly didn’t go the way OP had expected! Now, if she had done this to her ex-husband’s car, it may have been a different story since a lot of the commenters seem to think she was picking on the wrong person.
This woman definitely needs therapy.
