Some neighbors just can’t be reasoned with, and this was one of them.

It is hard to feel bad for a woman like this, but I hope she got revenge on her husband as well.
Sounds like this instance didn’t have a whole lot of bearing on the final destination of this relationship. But it did quicken it.
He asked for her opinion, and she gave it. There is no reason for him to be upset.
