Sharing a property line is supposed to come with basic courtesy, but one homeowner was starting to wonder whether her neighbors ever got that memo.

What began as the occasional guest car parked along the edge of one homeowner’s driveway soon turned into a near-weekly occurrence, sometimes blocking her in so completely she couldn’t even pull into her own home after work.

Every polite conversation with the neighbor always ended the same way: a vague promise to change, only to go back to the exact same problem days later.

One especially frustrating night involved knocking on their door at 11pm just to reclaim her own driveway, only to be told she was overreacting.

My neighbor keeps using my driveway and I’m losing my mind

I’ve lived in my house for about two years and never really had issues with the neighbors until recently.

The homeowner shares their biggest complaint with these people.

The people next door started using the edge of my driveway as an extra parking spot whenever they have guests over.

At first I didn’t care because it was only occasionally. Now it’s happening several times a week, and sometimes I’ll come home from work and find a car parked halfway across my driveway.

Their interventions have so far been unsuccessful.

I’ve politely asked them to stop, and they always say they’ll “keep an eye on it,” but then it happens again a few days later.

The homeowner soon had to start being more direct.

Last weekend I actually had to knock on their door at 11pm because I couldn’t get my car into my own driveway. They acted like I was being difficult and said there was plenty of room for me to get around the car.

I don’t want a stupid neighbor feud, but I’m also getting tired of asking people to stop blocking my driveway.

A driveway shouldn’t require a midnight negotiation just to park in it.
