New neighbors can sometimes create unexpected problems.

In this story, a woman and her boyfriend bought a brand-new garbage can for their brand-new home.

However, she noticed that their garbage can somehow ended up on their elderly couple neighbor’s property.

When the can mysteriously appeared beside the neighbors’ house, the boyfriend went over to ask what had happened.

My boyfriend just purchased a brand-new home in a brand-new build site.

Very few people are living in the “community” yet.

Our neighbors are an elderly couple.

They have not had a garbage can since we have lived there.

We purchased a $100 one upon moving in.

This woman noticed that tehir brand new garbage can ended up near their neighbor’s house.

All of a sudden, on trash day, ours does a magical thing and ends up next to their house.

My boyfriend goes up and knocks and talks with them for a few minutes.

Then, he brings up that our garbage can somehow ended up with them.

That lady looked him in the eye and said the city came and personally brought it to her.

Like, okay, lady. If the city was gonna give them out, we wouldn’t have purchased one.

And she wouldn’t have been without one for the past few months.

Her boyfriend bought another one.

She ended up manipulating my boyfriend into them keeping it.

He had to buy a whole another one.

I told him he messed up by not nipping that crap in the bud immediately.

But I feel like he will learn soon enough.

I feel like this is only the beginning.

And using the city as an excuse was certainly convenient.

Her boyfriend probably should have taken it back immediately, because letting the issue slide only cost him another $100.
