I don’t think you have to be best friends with your neighbors or anything like that, but what happened to common courtesy?
It seems to have gone the way of the dodo, don’t you think?
Well, at least for some folks, it has…
And this woman’s neighbors are officially RUDE.
Take a look at why she’s had enough of these folks.
Renter neighbors.
“My husband and I own a home in a nice neighborhood.
The neighborhood consists of townhomes, smaller single family homes, mid size single family homes, and multigenerational homes (think houses with dual garages/entrances, but only one main living space).
Our house is one of the smaller single family homes with side yards. Our next door neighbors have the same home style, but are renting from the owner (we think they may be related).
Our issue comes from these renters.
Here’s the problem…
They are inconsiderate of quiet hours (not just HOA dictated ones, also city), they let their dog bark for hours ( their yard is directly under our bedroom window), they let their same dog out off leash in the morning to go #2 in our front yard without cleaning it up, along with a plethora of other things.
This isn’t going well…
We have tried to speak to them regarding these issues, however they are not native English speakers and we are not bilingual either. This makes communication very difficult. We would like to get along with them and live in peace.
Looping in the HOA just escalates things with the owners (they came banging on our door about fines they’re receiving) and the non emergency police line was no help.
Is there anything we can do to live in harmony?
We can’t move. We love this house and can’t afford to leave it, but we also can’t deal with living next to barking, screaming kids, revving engines, car alarms at 2 am, etc.”
