It is very frustrating when someone vandalizes your vehicle, but you can’t prove who it was.
That is what happened to the woman in this story, so now she has put up cameras to watch her vehicle and the surrounding area since she just knows that it was her downstairs neighbor who did it.
She is also going to file a complaint with the apartment building since she is not the only one who has had issues with this neighbor.
Read through the full story below and see what you think she should do.
My car was vandalized in the middle of the night and I KNOW it was my neighbor.
Unfortunately, There are no cameras facing any cars in complex, so I didn’t catch him.
Why would the neighbor have done this?
He poured some kind of wood polish all over the side of my car. Thankfully 90% of it came right off with goof off and some elbow grease.
I’m so mad, I filed a police report and contacted the property managers office to report as well.
So, the neighbor is causing problems for everyone.
As I was speaking with the deputy showing him the damage, one of my neighbors passed by who I’ve only spoken to once and came right up to me and said “You know who did that right?”
I said oh yeah I have an idea and pointed toward where my down stairs neighbor lives and she said yeah he’s horrible he tried to attack me one night.
It is just their word against his.
She said this right in front of the cop. The cop knocked on his door. He didn’t answer, then the cop came back to assess the damage after I cleaned it the best I could.
He went back and knocked on his door again, and the guy finally answered and denied the whole thing. (OFCOURSE)
Good, a camera is essential for situations like this.
I did buy a camera that points directly out my window to my car I can see a very good view of my car and it records 24/7 and saves any video of movement by my car or in camera view.
My whole car is in camera view, so if he tries this again, he’s going to jail. This is not the first interaction I’ve had with this guy, but it is the worst.
Filing complaints against him is a good step.
I’m going to try my best to talk to the office tomorrow to get him evicted.. I mean if I’m not the only one he’s harassing, why the heck is he still living here.
I’m afraid he might try to attack me. I leave for work super early in the morning before 4 am. So I’m afraid he’s gonna be waiting for me one of these days. I have a camera now, so that makes me feel better but this is crazy..
Some people are not cut out for living in an apartment.
This is all because of my cat btw. Because my cat jumps off the bed and he can hear it. I’m on the second floor the unit above me I, can hear there cats all the time, and it’s not as loud as he tries to make it sound.
Maintenance went in for proof one time because he asked them to without me knowing to measure the volume coming from my unit. AKA cat and foot steps even maintenance told him that is normal daily noise in apartments and unless you are sitting in silence waiting for any noise, it shouldn’t bother you this much.
She sounds like a great neighbor, honestly.
I’m in bed by 8pm, by the way, so half the time he lies about noises. Or sits and wait to hear any kind of noise to hit the ceiling over. I’m so sick idk what to do.
At least if he tries anything to damage my car again I will have video proof. I’m praying they just evict this guy already.
Sorry if this is all over the place, I’m super anxious and trying to get it all in this post.
This would be so frustrating, and honestly scary. I’m glad she put up some cameras and is taking it seriously.
Read on to see what the people in the comments have to say about it.
Here is someone who also had a cat who made noise, but they loved it.
This is very true.

Filing a police report is a good idea.
She needs to catch him on camera, then the police can take action. If he is harassing other women in the apartment complex, however, they should work together to get him evicted.
She is doing the right thing, though. Never let someone get away with this type of thing.
