The revered guitarist and songwriter inspired a generation of shredders with his virtuoso skills. Many fans point to his 13 minute guitar solo on August 27, 1986 at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in New Haven, Connecticut as one of his best ever.

Rest in peace Mr. Van Halen, your legacy will live forever.
