Our Commitment to Accuracy
At TwistedSifter, we strive to publish accurate, fair, and well-researched content. However, in the fast-paced world of internet culture, viral stories, and digital publishing, mistakes occasionally happen. When we make an error, we believe in fixing it quickly and transparently. We also work hard to follow these editorial standards and ethics to guide our journalism.
How We Handle Corrections
Minor Errors: For minor typos, grammatical mistakes, or broken links that do not change the factual meaning or context of the story, we will update the text immediately without a formal editor’s note.
Factual Errors: If a story contains a factual error, misrepresents a source, or reports an internet hoax as truth, we will correct the text and append a clear “Correction” or “Update” note at the bottom of the article. This note will explain what was originally published, what the correct information is, and the date the change was made.
Developing Stories: For ongoing stories where new information becomes available after publishing, we will update the article and add a timestamped “Update” note to provide our readers with the most current context.
How to Report an Error
We value our readers as our first line of defense. If you spot a factual error or have a concern about the accuracy of an article, please reach out to our editorial team directly at admin [at] twistedsifter [dot] com
When reporting an error, please include:
