Liza Mundy, author of “Code Girls,” talks about the thousands of talented women who were secretly recruited and trained, leaving their homes and communities for an uncertain future, to be code breakers for the U.S. during World War II.
Mundy interviewed surviving code breakers and did extensive archival research to shed light on these unsung heroes.
