Not everyone feels comfortable around kids… and that’s okay.
This man was asked by his brother to watch his 16-month-old niece on short notice.
He refused, but now his brother is making him wonder if he should’ve agreed to babysit.
Read the story below for all the details.
AITA for not picking up my niece
My brother (35M) just called me (29M).
He asked me to immediatly pick up my niece (16 months old) from daycare and to spend a few hours with her.
This man refused to pick up and look after his niece.
Her mother isn’t so well (she cried a few times cause of her work).
He wants to talk about it with her without distraction.
I said no, because I was in the middle of something else, and I don’t feel ready to look after my niece alone since I have zero experience with kids (which I told him already earlier).
His brother told him to reflect on why he feels that way.
Now, he says I should reflect on my feelings, why I’m not ready for that, and that there has to be a deeper reason for this.
Now, I kinda feel bad. So, AITA?
His brother just wants to guilt him into being a free babysitter.
