Deciding how to divide household chores is a part of any relationship, especially when kids are involved.
But what if hiring someone else to do the job was the ultimate solution?
In today’s story, a mother of 3 shares how her husband disagrees that they should have their home professionally cleaned, while she thinks it would help.
Let’s read the whole story.
AITA for asking my husband to have our home professionally cleaned?
I (26 f) and husband (34 m) both work full-time jobs and have 3 kids.
We are very routine-based as any parent knows, this is common.
In the morning, I will wake up, feed the kids, and make sure they are all dressed while he gets ready for work.
He then will take them to school in the morning at 8am and then drive to work.
I then finally start to get myself ready to be able to be on time for work at 9 am.
She doesn’t have a lot of time to clean.
At 5pm I will get out of work and pick them up and head to any sporting event, extracurricular, etc.
Around 6-7pm we will get home.
I then still have to start to make a full healthy dinner for 5 people.
My husband will finally be home around 8pm.
After dinner (and clean up from dinner), he will sometimes be home in time to help with bedtime routine and showering the kiddos.
She would like to hire help.
He will help when he gets home if there is anything left to do, and sometimes during the weekend.
He doesn’t necessarily see the value in spending the money in something we can do.
We have had cleaners before and he would just complain it wasn’t good enough and criticize what they missed.
After I finally get the kids all tucked in around 8:45ish, I am completely exhausted.
At this point, there is constant laundry, toys, and a million things to clean.
I am aware I have kids and these things have to be done, which I understand and do without complaint.
AITA?
Why not?
Let’s see how Reddit reacted to this.
Someone share their experience.

More people have help than you think.

Exactly.

Another reader chimes in.

Again… Why not?

If they can afford it, they will be making their life easier and having more time to do other things.
At the end of the day, it’s her decision, since she does most of the cleaning.
