Call me crazy…but where I come from, non-smoking means exactly what it says…

But I guess some folks like to play by their own rules!

Even if that means having no regard for anyone else and acting like a total jerk.

In today’s story, a man who lives in a building that is supposed to be non-smoking is dealing with, you guessed it, a neighbor who keeps smoking and driving him bananas!

Take a look at what he had to say about this.

Apartment Neighbors From Hell.

“I live in a 55 and over community.

The property manager is a real piece of garbage. She barely does her job. Any complaint given to her she will screw up and you the complainant will end up with a “corrective action” for complaining.

So she moved these two behind me and the woman smokes cigarettes.

I have severe asthma and the property manager knows this. There is a whole other story to all this however I will not get into all of it.

This is frustrating…

This is also a Non Smoking community, you are not supposed to smoke inside of your apartment.

So these people moved in about nine months ago. When they first moved in it sounded like they were ripping the cabinets off the walls daily. This went on for a couple weeks.

Then I started getting cigarette smoke drifting into my windows from her smoking outside on her porch which I did not complain about, at least she was smoking outside.

Then I started smelling cigarette smoke inside of my apartment and started complaining to the property manager, who also smokes. I wrote down every date and time on numerous occasions that I was dealing with it.

Here you go!

The very last time was May. I went into her office and said gave her all the dates and time, and then said I am going to record this conversation, because I have caught this property manager in multiple lies, and then you are going to get an email as well with all these dates and times.

She said I will give them a “corrective action’ for the smoking. Then we will go in every two weeks and put a new air filter in, date it and see what it looks like to see if they are smoking.

What she did was pick up the phone and call the husband’s personal cell phone who assured her that his wife was not smoking inside of their apartment and that was that.

Ugh…

So now she is totally smoking about three packs a day of cigarettes inside of their apartment, which abuts right up against my back wall.

She is also spraying or boiling something industrial to mask the smell of the cigarettes. It will make you want to pass out, throw up, or your throat close up. You cannot sit in the main living area which includes the kitchen, for more than a couple minutes or you would literally pass out.

This starts as soon as 5 AM in the morning and will go well into sometimes 1 AM at night. There is never a break from it. She never leaves that apartment.

So gross!

All she does is lay around and smoke cigarettes inside. I am thinking when does this woman actually sleep?

I Googled how to hide cigarette smoke in an apartment and it gave different ways to do so.

Based on what I am smelling I think she is spraying Ozium, which is toxic as hell sprayed over and over in an enclosed space. Its what they use to get cigarette smell out of cars.

This sounds awful!

I cannot use my main living area at all. I had to buy a $300 room window air conditioner and am living in one room basically.

I have had multiple asthma attacks over the last weeks which has not happened in years.

Forget about the property manager, she is zero help. I am also on the verge of eviction for complaining about that and another mess across the street and her perpetually homeless son.

I am thinking maybe about calling the fire department on them, but that could get me evicted as well. It would be the only way to actually catch her smoking, and spraying whatever stuff she is spraying.”
