Workplaces become exhausting when one employee repeatedly leaves their responsibilities to everyone else.

The following story involves an employee who had worked at her job for 12 years.

She noticed that a coworker constantly claimed disabilities that prevented her from working normally.

She started getting frustrated because her coworker kept making excuses while she worked incredibly hard.

Now, she’s wondering how to deal with such a coworker moving forward… or perhaps it’s time to leave?

We all have that kind of coworker, right? Read the full story below for all the details.

Im tired of my LAZY coworker!!!

I am so sick and tired of my coworker making up excuses for why she can’t work and constantly coming in late.

She would mention disabilities that pop up out of nowhere.

I have been an associate at my job for 12 years, and I work in the deli.

I am so overwhelmed, overtired, and overworked because my coworker does nothing but stand around all day.

I’m gonna call her BS because everything she says is BS.

This employee kept hearing different excuses from her “disabled” coworker.

She leans on the table while ignoring customers and texts all day long.

She constantly says, “I have a disability, so I can’t come in on time.”

“I have a disability, so I can’t run freight.”

“I have a disability, so I can’t bend down because of my knees.”

And now she says, and I quote, “I have a disability, so I have to have constant contact with my BF.

My anxiety is so bad, he’s the only one that can calm me down, so you have to let me text him so I won’t snap on you.”

She considers her coworker the laziest person she knew.

WTH?!? Since when is that a thing? And what’s funny is they broke up!

And she’s not texting him anymore and is still trying to get accommodations to be on her phone all the time.

She’ll be ordering food while customers are waiting to be served and just ignore them.

She is an almost 50-year-old woman and is the laziest person I ever met.

I have to constantly clean up after her and do her job for her because she won’t do it.

Because of her damn phone and because she simply won’t do it.

She believes her coworker has issues, but about being lazy and being too obsessed with her man.

Now, I’m not trying to be mean and say she’s not disabled.

She’s got some issues, but her main issue is she’s very male-centered.

She gave up her kids to be with her husband after he harmed one of them so she can be with him.

She cheated on said husband while he was dying with his nephew the entire time he was on life support and bragged about it.

Now, this lady has brand new cars and drives and stuff, so what? Does she text and drive also?

What if she hits someone and is she going to say, “Sorry, I have a disability, so I have to text my BF.”

She couldn’t stand her anymore.

She will come in the deli late, comb her hair in the deli, charge her phone, fidget with her stuff, and ignore customers for 15 minutes.

I am so tired of it. Can she actually get an accommodation for this?

Because if she can, I’m out.

I just can’t anymore because I just can’t stand people who don’t want to work.

Wow, this honestly sounds incredibly frustrating!

I would also get upset to see a coworker not taking her job seriously while I work super hard.

I guess the best approach for OP would be to focus on the coworker’s actual work performance and let management handle whether her requested accommodations are legitimate and reasonable.
