You can only take so much noise, rude behavior, and carelessness until you finally throw up your hands, scream at the sky, and finally reach the end of your rope.
It sounds like that’s the point the person in this story is at, and they are 100% tired of dealing with their neighbors who sound like huge JERKS.
Actually, it’s a whole family of jerks!
Take a look at what they’re dealing with…
I despise the family next door…
“For over ten years it’s been a revolving door of terrible people.
I should feel bad saying it and generalizing them, but I can’t let go of the feeling, and I grew up in a family similar to them.
My old neighbor passed away 12 or so years ago, and an older woman bought his house. It’s been a revolving door of her family members renting it, as well as a few others for easy money.
Nobody wants to live next door to this…
Loud parties, fights, drugs, alcohol, severe mental illness, and child abuse.
I’m a mandated reporter, so I always reported anything child-involved right away, but it’s hard to complain or call the cops when you don’t know if someone might physically harm you or your property later in retaliation.
They sounded like they lived by getting even. I think the final straw was when the police came to the house with guns drawn due to a tenant making a threat.
Which, honestly, I wanted to call out the nonsense.
It was good while it lasted.
The person accused didn’t have the ability to do that, and the accuser was a piece of garbage (nephew of the landlord).
He certainly lost his home when his aunt sold it two months later.
That six months of emptiness was amazing.
These people are disgusting.
To my dismay, she sold it to her niece, and at a profit too considering we heard there was tons of feces in the house as well as mattresses coming out that looked like crime scenes.
A young, twenty something, who has little to no money, or real interest to be a homeowner.
The first day I saw her pull up and I see she was driving with an open beer in her hands and drove away five minutes later for her dad to do all the work.
She moved in full time about 18 months ago. She likes to party and have “relations” too. I get to listen to it though our shared wall. She likes to party in her bedroom.
I could go to work on little to no sleep and hope I didn’t harm anyone in the process. I also can’t simply ask off or come in late every week, considering I work weekends.
It just never ends!
She likes to party on Tuesday nights too, which lead to me quitting a lucrative part time gig I did on Wednesdays.
I guess thank goodness for earplugs and headphones overtop so I feel like I’m in my space again?
On top of it, I got to see the lack of maintenance with huge overgrowth in the back yard and front garden that you could hide a body in and snow is never cleaned off while she has fun at my expense.
This sounds concerning.
Now home improvement is important, but at her convenience. She uses a 3×4 rug to kill the weeds out back so she doesn‘t have to mow in that spot (honestly, I think she believes that’s a man’s job, and she doesn’t always keep one around).
She added a fire pit where she did minimal yard work at and dug a hole in the ground, put a 2 ft grill grate on top, and five bricks around the hole.
It sits 3 feet away from our shared fence, and 6 feet away from her house. Luckily it’s small, but given how lazy she is, we’ve had doubts there’s a plan in place to quickly put it out.
We saw her water the other neighbor’s fence, which she said was to prevent a fire, but not on our fence with her little flower watering can.
They tried to let her know about this…
Since we’ve had a few firefighters in the family, we know the fire safety and ordinances. We told her that basically she could do better in placement and safety, but technically it wasn’t allowable in this neighborhood (no one has a 25 foot space from a flame for that kind of fire pit), but we weren’t going to call dispatch about it either.
At the same time, someone passing could call the non emergency number since her yard is easy to see in the open. That was on Saturday.
I heard her screaming in her room why she can‘t have a fire when everyone else does this evening. She always banging on the walls when she’s angry (but she also loves drilling or hammering something at 3 am).
Tonight it was because she can’t have a fire, because she wants to light them for s’mores, in 90-100 degree weather, and we don’t understand she had the watering can near by.
Yikes!
All the while, she can’t get her car fixed for a days on end and is getting food bank donations. She doesn’t even work for a living and a roommate does everything for her. How is she even getting booze money?
I’m so tired. Sometimes I hope I can fall asleep permanently. I feel whiny and that I’m the Karen and I have no clue what to do anymore so I can ignore everything.
I doubt I can outlast her if she’s the homeowner. What I had in a possible down payment a few years ago isn’t much nowadays.”
