I will call the girl Abby and the boy Bob.

Abby and Bob are my best friends. We became close after we got into the same college.

They have been a couple for one year.

Recently, Abby told me she wanted to break up with him. She felt Bob had already gotten bored with her and that he had no patience anymore.

This woman told Bob to buy Abby a surprise gift.

I sent a message to Bob. I reminded him to pay more attention to Abby. I kindly asked him to get Abby a surprise gift.

Bob had just won a little money on bcgame, so I jokingly told him he had no excuse now. I told him to go buy Abby some flowers.

Now, both of them are blaming her.

The day after, Abby came to tell me she checked Bob’s phone last night.

She questioned me about why I dropped a subtle hint to Bob. She said it means nothing if Bob does it not from his heart.

Bob also blamed me. He asked why I did not tell him everything. He said that he could have managed it better.
