Burnout at work is real, and people should learn how to deal with it.

The following story is about a man who struggles to work full-time.

He kept changing jobs because he easily gets burnt out.

While he had managed to survive a 4-year job as a school counselor, he’s back to hating his job and feels like he’s trapped.

Now, he’s looking for ways to survive it or other more flexible options.

Have you ever experienced this? Let’s take a closer look!

I struggle to work full time

I know a lot of people struggle to work full time.

Somehow they’re capable of staying for many years, but I just can’t.

I’ve been job hopping for as long as I’ve started working.

The longest job I’ve had was 4 years, and that was because I could choose to work the school year or in the summer as a Counselor.

I guess it helped knowing that there was an “end,” and I could start again if I wanted to.

This man was more productive when he was unemployed.

I’ve been at this new job for 8 months, I’m the only employee and I just really want to leave again.

I’m depleted and just can’t find a balance between working and actually taking care of myself.

Before I took this job, I was unemployed for 2 months and was the most productive in been my personal life.

I worked out and lost 15 lbs, I read books, I worked on my passion (painting).

Now, I just feel like half of a person.

He started seeing a therapist.

I literally started seeing a therapist about 5 months into this job because I literally felt like dying.

She’s helped calm my nervous system way more, but I still find myself asking, “How will I do this forever?”

I know I will have to work no matter what to survive.

But I’m starting to look into a career that has more flexibility.

Anyone else feel this way? Any advice? How do you cope?

Whoa! Sounds like OP is burnt out at his job. Perhaps he is not built to work the usual 9-to-5 job.

I guess the best thing to do is explore his options and try working fewer hours.

Once he finds his passion, he could go back to increasing his work time. What do you think?

Some people are not meant to survive the corporate world.
