Having a home should give people a place to relax and escape the stresses of work.
In this story, a homeowner was overwhelmed by a neighbor whose constant noise had made her miserable in her own house.
She had already tried law enforcement, the landlord, and various ways to drown out the noise.
With no improvement, she’s now considering taking legal action.
Whoa! Is that really necessary? Check out the full details below.
Noisy neighbor driving me nuts
I am so beyond frustrated with this neighbor and their noise.
The neighbor does nothing to help the situation and only makes it worse and lies to everyone.
Doing the legal actions through law enforcement and their landlord has done absolutely nothing except make it worse.
And I am to the point of filing a suit against the neighbor.
This woman had to leave her house just to avoid the noise.
I bought my home to enjoy having a quiet place to come home to and be able to relax after a long work shift.
I literally broke a rental lease over noise issues before I bought my house.
I feel like because of the noise issues that I can’t do that anymore, and I am a ball of anxious nerves.
I have to leave my house to get away from the noise.
I’m so frustrated to the point that I want to file a suit or even just risk total financial ruin by selling my house.
Then go back to renting to get away from this.
She’s thinking of moving out and choosing a house without neighbors.
I own my home, and this renter is making me hate that I own my home.
The city and neighbor are total jokes.
I try playing the TV, music, fans, sound machine to drown out the noise, and it never feels like it is enough.
How hard is it to allow other people the chance to have some peace and quiet?
My hope is that the next house I get is far enough away from other houses so I hopefully am less likely to deal with the bologna that I am currently dealing with.
We all deserve a noise-free living space. But for OP, it felt like her boundaries were being disrespected.
It is understandable that she is frustrated when she cannot even enjoy the home she worked hard for.
Since everything she tried had failed, perhaps pursuing formal legal options may be worth considering.
It’s just sad to learn that she’s considering selling her home just because of inconsiderate neighbors.
