Constant noise can push even the most patient neighbors to their limit.

This person has been struggling with constant noise coming from the apartment above him. He noticed that the children and their parents were running, screaming, and stomping throughout the day. And sometimes, the noise starts at 5 in the morning! When OP couldn’t take it anymore, he came up with a rather unconventional way to get the family’s attention.

This story is one of those frustrating apartment-living situations where noisy neighbors become so entitled and inconsiderate. It’s a relatable situation for many people who want peace and quiet, but their concerns are being ignored. Read the full story below.

Is this a justifiable way to get back?

I live in a one-bedroom apartment and the children upstairs are incredibly loud.

The parents also stomp all over the place to the point where I know where they are moving throughout the apartment.

I do understand that kids are kids but they literally scream and run nonstop all hours they are home.

What actually bothers me the most is that our apartment quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am, and they start being loud from 5 am.

This man shouted through the ceiling to tell them to stop.

I can’t sleep past 5 am because of how noisy they are.

I have complained through management multiple times but they haven’t changed.

One day, I shouted at the ceiling, “Shut the f*** up!” really loudly and I heard the parents reacting to that.

So, I figured the parents naturally do not want their children to hear bad words.

This made me come up with a new idea.

Now, he’s planning to play songs or podcasts with swear words.

I want to play a compilation of swear words, or a vulgar podcast, or songs with profanity loudly against the ceiling.

Is this a justifiable way to get back? Hitting the ceiling with a broomstick hasn’t worked, but maybe this will.

I need recommendation on a podcast or a compilation video of people wearing or songs that you would not want your kids to listen to.

Thank you for reading though all this.

Lack of sleep can definitely make anyone reach their breaking point. OP may have thought of a way to fight back, but playing vulgar content loudly could easily turn into a bigger neighbor dispute. Perhaps it’s better to find a solution that doesn’t create even more tension.
