Dealing with noisy neighbors requires a little creativity.
This man struggles with neighbors who play loud music and sounds that often shake his house. After trying to talk to them and contacting the police without much success, he started looking for a different solution. Instead of trying to stop the outside noise directly, he came up with a creative way to fight back.
This is an interesting example of someone thinking outside the box when the usual ways of dealing with noisy neighbors don’t seem to work. Read the full story below.
I got sick of fighting back, so I devised a peaceful solution
I’m making this post because I think it may help some people who are in a crappy situation with loud neighbors.
Like many people, I deal with loud neighbors who shake my house with loud bass.
I’ve called the cops numerous times, talked to them personally, to no avail.
One day it hit me: Why don’t I just shake my own house first?
This man designed a way to fight back against the neighbor’s noise.
So I designed this. It is a 12-inch subwoofer in a plywood box attached to a raspberry pi.
Whenever my neighbors get loud, I connect to it and run a custom noise that sounds like my furnace.
I’m not going to lie to you, if your neighbors are being loud on purpose and blasting you with the loudest bass imaginable, this won’t help you.
This is for people who get woken up or can’t focus due to low to medium bass noise.

Sometimes, when the problem persists, we become so creative in finding a solution. And this is exactly what OP did. Although his solution may not totally stop the neighbors from making noise, at least it’s a good attempt to regain some peace at home.
Let’s look at the comments of other online users.
Here’s another idea.
And more…
This one has another suggestion.
