Jeez, talk about a double whammy…
It’s one thing if someone is going to play their TV at a loud volume, but does that person also have to leave their doors open, too?
Talk about ticking off the entire neighborhood!
That’s what this guy is dealing with when it comes to his neighbor, and let’s just say that he’s OVER IT.
And you can’t really blame him…
Read on, and see what you think!
Neighbours have their TV on all day with their back doors open.
“I live in an end of a terrace house in a quiet area.
That is, except for our neighbour‘s TV which is on ALL DAY LONG.
I work from home a few days a week and as it’s summer, I have my windows open on the latch (not open completely as our cat will get out).
Yikes!
From about 8 am until 9 pm the TV is on. All day. Playing what I believe is the same American show (not sure which one), but the voices are always the same.
It’s so loud that if we want to watch TV in the evenings, we cannot have our back doors open and suffer from the lack of breeze.
On weekends from 9 am -1 pm (when we are in) it’s even louder.
This isn’t a problem in winter as their doors are always closed.
This is really annoying!
To clarify, this is only during daytime hours so it’s not like they’re not breaking noise laws or what not, but it’s constant and for 12 hours + a day.
I feel awkward saying anything as we have the occasional bbq with friends and make a lot of noise in the garden, though this is a few times a year at most.
How can I ask the neighbours in a nice way to lower the volume of their TV and not feel like we in turn, have to refrain from playing music in the garden if we wanted, or have our TV on with our doors open?
Thanks in advance for anyone who can help!”

Yikes!
This is not cool.
But maybe these folks are so clueless that they don’t even realize how disruptive they’re being…
You never know!
It sounds like it’s time to go have a talk with these noisy neighbors!
