Upstairs Neighbor Kept Filing Noise Complaints, But Police Found Him Alone Cleaning His Oven And Watching ‘Kill Bill’

Some neighbors can make all the noise they want, but somehow can’t handle hearing a peep from anyone else.
That’s the situation one man has found himself in with the woman living in the apartment above him.
She’ll run power tools in the middle of the night and make enough noise to shake the place, yet she regularly complains about whatever she hears from downstairs.
In fact, her complaints went so far that management had to warn her to stop. But instead of letting it go, she apparently switched tactics and started calling the police.
Then one afternoon, officers showed up thinking they were walking into a very serious situation.

My neighbor is nuts.
I’ve had a flat for three years now and love it. It’s a very old building with inadequate sound insulation between my upstairs neighbor and my apartment. The quirky apartment more than makes up for the noise.
My neighbor is unable to understand how loud she is.
Like, she used a circular saw for hours and at 2 a.m. and wouldn’t respond when I went knocking on her door to ask her to stop. Just screamed out the door that she had mace and would attack me if I knocked again.
Apparently, the lady is as loud as she wants to be.
Routinely, she hammers things with the object directly on the wood floor. I found out that she makes her living selling crafts on Etsy…. You have not lived until someone has run a sewing machine on the floor above your bedroom for 5 hours on Sunday night.
I don’t complain, as she’s clearly a little off, and I doubt it would help. But at least twice a month, she calls in a noise complaint on me.
If she hears any noise from my flat after she goes to bed (night or day, she has no discernible schedule), she goes insane. Management is fed up and has finally issued her a notice that any more noise complaints would lead to a non-renewal of her lease.
Suddenly, the woman started calling someone else.
Now she has apparently stopped calling the manager but has started calling the police on me.
Yesterday afternoon, I was cleaning my oven and watching the movie Kill Bill. She called the police and apparently told them I was committing domestic violence and was worried that the person was getting *****.
I open the door to the police standing on the sidewalk with their hands on guns. I’m wearing sweatpants and yellow rubber gloves.
To their credit, they immediately figured out that I’m not ****** anyone, and they go up to the neighbor’s door…. She won’t open the door and claims that I’m constantly abusing people.
While they were there, he had the cops leave a police report for him.
I turn the movie off and show them the apartment, as well as the email I got from the building manager about her noise complaints…and ask if they can write up a report for me to send to management and help get this lady out of my life.
She did.
I kid you not, it says, ‘We found (my name) at home at the time, wearing rubber gloves and using oven cleaner while watching a horror movie at a normal volume of amplified sound. No one else was present, and we did not witness anything out of the ordinary.’
Wow! It definitely sounds like something is off with this woman.

And she sounds like the kind of person who just keeps pushing until somebody finally has enough.
