Some family issues will really make you question your life.

This woman shares how her mother and brother teamed up against her in a small issue.

Check out the full story.

AITA for not forgiving my brother right away?

I (29F) need some time before forgiving my brother (35M), and now my mom is threatening to cut me off over it.

My mom (69F) recently developed a serious corneal ulcer in her eye.

This is where it gets bad…

Last Friday she called me saying she couldnโ€™t open her eye, it was swollen, pink, and painful. I brought her to the pharmacist thinking it was pink eye, but he told us to go straight to the ER because it looked much more serious.

I wanted to stay with her at the hospital, but she completely lost it. While I was driving, she started yelling that she wanted to do it alone and literally opened the car door telling me to let her out.

I parked anyway and followed her inside, where she told me to **** off, called me a *****, and demanded I leave.

That’s INSANE!

Sadly, this kind of emotional outburst is normal for her.

On the drive home, I called my brother to vent and made our usual joke that when she eventually needs full time care, heโ€™ll have to โ€œtap inโ€ because Iโ€™ll be โ€œtapping out.โ€ For context, he works contract jobs up north and is rarely home.

Over the weekend we learned it wasnโ€™t pink eye at all, it was a corneal ulcer that could permanently affect her vision. Despite me checking in constantly and offering help, my mom ignored me all weekend.

Then Monday morning she called me hysterically crying saying she wasnโ€™t okay. I was in a work meeting and my boss literally told me to leave and go take care of her.

UH OH…

While driving to her place, she asked me to order her an Uber for another appointment.

I said Iโ€™d drive her myself instead, which caused another meltdown. At that point I called my brother because heโ€™s the โ€œgolden childโ€ and she actually listens to him. I explained I really needed help with her because she wasnโ€™t listening to me.

His response:
โ€œYou called me the other day complaining about her, and now you want my help? **** off.โ€

Then he hung up.

I completely broke down.

She’s so done with all of this drama!

For added context, my own dad has also been dealing with serious health issues lately, and Iโ€™ve been the one handling appointments, groceries, surgeries, recovery, etc.

Iโ€™m emotionally exhausted.

Despite what happened, I still spent the week taking care of my mom, driving her to appointments, picking up prescriptions, bringing food, checking in constantly.

Fast forward to Motherโ€™s Day.

My boyfriend and I spent the day helping around her house and had dinner with her. During dinner my brother called.

Things get worse…

I stayed polite but avoided talking to him because I was still hurt.

The next day he texted me:
โ€œBe nicer to mom and Iโ€™ll be nicer to you. Self reflection is hard but necessary.โ€

I told him to go away.

Then my mom texted saying if I donโ€™t forgive him immediately, sheโ€™ll stop updating me about her health. I told her I WILL forgive him eventually, but I need time to cool off and process everything.

She is so confused with her behavior.

Apparently thatโ€™s not acceptable.

Itโ€™s now been about 24 hours and I havenโ€™t spoken to either of them.

AITA for not forgiving him immediately?

GEEZ! This sounds like a lot of drama!

Why would her mother get involved in her issue anyway?
