Noisy neighbors can easily drive anyone crazy, especially if they keep slamming their doors.

In this story, a woman moved into an ex-council flat.

She quickly realized she could hear almost everything from her downstairs neighbors.

She noticed that her neighbors would stay up talking, laugh loudly, and repeatedly slam their doors throughout the day and night.

The constant noise began affecting her sleep and studies, leaving her wondering whether moving out was her only option.

New Neighbours slamming doors constantly

I just moved into a maisonette ex-council flat and didn’t realise how much I would hear the downstairs neighbour.

I’m the upmost flat on the first floor, and constantly I hear them talking.

The first day I moved in, I heard them talking until 3 am, keeping me awake after a long day.

Then I prayed they would settle down by Monday, but apparently, these jerks are unemployed.

This woman hates noise, so her neighbors are driving her insane.

Most of the time, it seems they’re talking at a reasonable volume, but I can hear constant murmuring.

And it’s killing me as someone who hates noise.

Last night at midnight, I was woken up to the girlfriend scream-laughing so loudly.

But the worst part is they constantly slam doors.

The force with which they must be slamming these doors is unreal.

She has had enough and slammed her doors, too.

Yesterday at 3 pm, they slammed around 10 doors in under 5 minutes, which I would deem impossible.

Makes me wonder if they’re deliberately doing this.

It’s midnight now, and after them slamming the door 3 times, I had enough.

I went and slammed every door in my house full force. So maybe they’d understand the noise they’re making.

I can hear every little thing from them: coughing, sneezing, talking, making out, and moaning loudly.

Now, she’s thinking about moving to avoid these noisy neighbors.

It’s making me incredibly annoyed and uncomfortable.

Are there any options to deal with this that are reasonable?

I feel like the sound is travelling through the walls and not the floor.

As much as I’m broke from moving here, I genuinely feel like I might have to move.

I have uni every weekday and can’t afford to be only allowed to sleep whenever they decide I can.

Any advice?

Yikes! Hearing every conversation, door slam, and late-night noise can really make anyone go crazy and feel uncomfortable.

I understand OP’s reactions and feelings, and she has every right to rant.

Especially since she attends university every weekday, losing sleep because of constant noise could become especially frustrating.
