When You See the Northern Lights on Your Flight to Iceland to See.. the Northern Lights
by twistedsifter
On his Jan 14th flight from Baltimore, Maryland to Reykjavik, Iceland, Aryeh Nirenberg was able to see the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) from the comfort of his seat 35,000 ft up.
For anyone wondering how this was captured, he used a Sony A7sII with a Canon 24mm f/1.4 lens mounted to the window using a Fat Gecko mini suction mount. He also used a LensSkirt to block reflections from inside the cabin. Settings: 1384 frames, 4s, f/1.4, 5000 iso.
